About us......The Team
Safety Boat Cover is not just about a guy sitting in a boat all day at a project. We believe that Boat Crews should be highly skilled and qualified in boat handling, search and rescue techniques and first aid. Our boat crews are required to be alert, friendly, co-operative and ready to help out. They all hold recognised qualifications and many are members of voluntary organisations such as lifesaving, Yacht, boat and dive clubs. Many own their own boats and are currently or have been R.N.L.I. lifeboat crew members.
S.O.A.S. Safety Boats is owned and managed by Brian Dilly (an ex R.N.L.I. Lifeboat coxswain) and son Alex. Brian holds an advanced powerboat certificate as well as diving and first aid qualifications. Experienced in providing safety cover for major oil and gas construction and maintenance projects along the Milford Haven Waterway he also has a vast wealth of local knowledge aquired from more than 25 years experience in leading diving groups to the abundance of offshore dive sites along this sometimes unpredictable stretch of the South West Wales coast.
The Workshop and Maintenance supervisor has extensive experience in fitting and servicing both industrial plant and marine engines.
Training and safety advisor Peter Bounds has over 40 years of boat handling and lifeguarding experience. With 22 years as Principal of a Watersports Training Centre he is a powerboat instructor and first aid trainer.
